They almost end up on the ground, because Otabek's legs don't really work right now. If they end up on the ground, they're going to get arrested for at least some kind of public indecency, though, because getting up means getting too far away from one another. So Otabek makes a last ditch effort and catches himself on the corner wall.
It means he can hold onto Yuri less, because now he's holding himself up by his arms instead of his back, but it does mean it's his turn to press Yuri into the wall again to kiss which is more than alright with him.
8 to 12 is no time at all, thankfully, and the doors are dinging open.
